South Sea Cargo departed Port Vila on the 18th October and were headed to Malekula.

Due to cyclone warnings the team had to reschedule some departure dates to ensure they would arrive back to Port Vila in time.

The crew worked quickly to deliver several containers and a few shore repositions before leaving Malekula.

The crew arrived to Santo next on the 19th, while everyone was tracking the cyclone weather map.

On Friday the crew managed to unload 8 Full containers and 1 LCL container. There were 4 full ISO tanks and 1 empty delivered.

The crew kept an eye on the weather and worked swiftly to finish the operation before the storm got closer.

Among the containers loaded in Santo was a fiberglass boat to be transported with the other cargo. The frozen food truck was full of cargo also.

One of the crew members took note that this is the fifth voyage in a row where a local company has been sending cement from Malekula to Port Vila. South Sea Cargo is proud to accommodate local businesses and support their growth. After the Santo Operation was completed, Carsinos returned to Malekula, starting work early with a LCL container delivered to Green Dock.

After winding down the work on Malekula, the Vanuatu Meteo issued new information of the forming cyclone in the northern Torba province.

The team were able to beat the weather and head back to Port Vila in time, arriving on the 23rd.

The crew would wait until the cyclone weather warning had cleared before departing on another voyage.
